Matterworks is an artist-led digital fabrication studio born from Katz Studio’s own practice. Making complex work taught us to treat construction and finish as part of the artwork, with every joint, edge and surface affecting the final piece.
We bring that experience to artists, galleries and design studios working in resin, bronze and stainless steel. We turn digital files into physical objects through 3D printing, mold making, casting and metal fabrication, supported by patient handwork—from fitting components and removing seams to preparing and polishing the surface.
Our role is to understand what matters in the work and develop a practical way to make it. Whether producing a single sculpture or an edition, we keep the artist’s intent central to the decisions made throughout fabrication.
